There is no way we could begin to describe Sal’s abilities on a check sheet. He is the most incredible agent my husband and I have ever worked with over our 50 years of buying and selling houses. Everything Sal does is way above and beyond expectations.
We moved from Ocala, Florida to Keswick, Virginia so everything in the Charlottesville area was new for us. As most clients, we weren’t sure what we wanted. Sal led us by the hand through the home search, the application for a mortgage, and he coordinated the home inspection, the survey, the closing, and repairs that needed to be completed before closing, as well as multiple negotiations with the seller’s agent.
It was Sal who suggested a home at the Glenmore Country Club, something that we really hadn’t considered. As soon as we saw the house, we knew it was for us. Sal attended the 2-hour home inspection and reviewed it with us item-by-item on the phone since we still were in Ocala. He spent another two hours with us at the final walk-through and e-mailed us a summary of our discussions as we walked through the house.
Sal was always available, whether it be by phone, text, or e-mail. We very much enjoyed his dry sense of humor and uplifting demeanor. He was never negative and never spoke negatively about anyone or any place we visited. I could write a book regarding Sal’s professionalism and just his general overall work ethic because he is just that good. We heard about him through family and friends in the area that we were looking to buy a house and he was quickly on board helping us find the “perfect” place for us meeting all of our needs. He wasted no time in setting up schedules and days that fit into our plan, for us to travel down to the area we wanted to move to, for us to do walkthroughs of the homes we wished to see. After only two trips, we found our dream home! He began working with the seller’s agent, doing his magic, making sure we got the best deal possible. He worked with us every step of the way and through every detail…inspection, financing, appraisal and negotiations, until everything was signed on the dotted line. -Sal is a great communicator that is very responsive. From setting up a walk through of a potential property to helping navigate the process of buying and selling homes. He always joyfully answered our questions in a timely manner which helped reduce stress during an already stressful time.-Sal is organized. He knows the whole process from buying and selling homes so he was always two steps ahead of what was expected next. This organization kept our timeline moving on a steady clip. We sold our house in less than 48 hours and closed before our set closing date.
-Sal has tremendous experience in selling and buying homes. He was very knowledgeable with what we needed, buying a new build and selling in an HOAs.
-I do not know how many times we went back and forth with the buyers from our home on negotiating the list of items that came back on our inspection, but it was a lot! Sal was able to communicate confidently what we were willing to do for fixes. We ended up spending much less money on the repairs would have been required by the buyers if Sal would not have been such a good negotiator. We also sold our house over list price!
-If you are selling your house Sal has an arsenal of connections for any home improvements that need to be completed. His references show up when they say they will and do a great job for a reasonable price. This is HUGE for the selling process. It allows you to not spend time calling loads of contractors hoping they show and then weeding the contractors out. His referrals are quality.
